Villa Kleovoulina is a peaceful and beautiful retreat, dating from the 17th Century. Carved into the rock under the ancient acropolis, it is situated at one of the highest points of the village and enjoys spectacular views over the Mediterranean and Lindos from its top two terraces. It has been lovingly restored over the past 7 years to its original splendour, with hand carved woodwork and the original ‘kuklaki’ mosaic floors.
The entrance to the house, through the original wooden arched doorway, opens onto the main lower courtyard, where an abundant pink bougainvillea and scented jasmine provide shade for outside dining. Each of the rooms, including the main bedroom with its original fireplace, can be reached from this main courtyard. The kitchen has all its original features (albeit with an ingenious added feature, as hidden under the wooden seats is a luxurious bath with a view of the courtyard).
The main sala, with its raised platform bed and comfortable lounge area enjoys streaming sunlight from its high windows, but its 5m tall ceilings and thick stone walls keep it cool in the summer. A carved wooden staircase then leads to the two spacious roof terraces and magical views.

Loved by its owners, this tranquil and atmospheric house combines traditional Lindian charm with warmth and home comforts and is in an ideal location from which to explore the village.
