Villa Penelope is located at the Eastern extreme of the village, on the lower slopes of the Acropolis, above the beach. Probably the finest position of any villa, with beautiful views over the tops of olive groves and the bay of Lindos, out across to the famous tomb at the end of the peninsular and the mountains of Turkey beyond.

In common with much of the village, this house was reconstructed in the 1960's, with careful adherence to the traditions of Lindian architecture, especially the fine koklaki flooring throughout, which dates from earlier times. The house is accessed from the street through a magnificent neo-classical entrance, typical of the Lindian style.

The outer door opens onto the courtyard terrace, with its fine koklaki floor and wonderful views of the valley. In the centre is a dining table shaded by a prolific lemon tree. The evening air is perfumed by jasmine that covers the wall of the house. All of the rooms of the house are accessed directly from the courtyard (with the exception of bedroom 1).
