Until now the only viable option to stay in Lindos with a degree of style was to rent a house. Now there is an alternative. Our good friend Michalis Melenos, supported by an Australian Artist Donald Green, has invested the last ten years of his life in bringing this dream to reality: a hotel in Lindos inspired by local architecture and antiques set on the edge of the village overlooking the sea and nestling on the foothills of the Acropolis of Lindos. This boutique Hotel is in perfect harmony with the rest of the village and hopefully will show the way to others. We believe that this is a milestone in the history of Lindos, swinging the town back towards discreet luxury tourism for those with esthetic taste and away from the loutish tourism that has partially undermined the village over the last decade.

A host of local artisans, tradesmen, folk and design artists were commissioned in the various construction phases of the hotel. The décor and attention to detail is very special, combining every modern convenience with traditional embroidery, fabrics, carpets, antique furniture, hand crafted pottery, tiles, copper work and ornate lighting fixtures to form a cozy and hospitable interior.

The cuisine is outstanding, totally in keeping with the rest of the Hotel, Greek food elevated to high cuisine. My own meal on the terrace of the hotel on a warm spring night was truly memorable.

The Hotel has air conditioning throughout, a lounge, restaurant, laundry and provides room service and all the usual luxuries of a quality hotel. However it is above all the manicured gardens contrasting with surrounding harsh rocky nature and the beautiful shady terraces paved with koklaki (black & white stones) overlooking the bay below that provide the charm of this memorable hotel.
