This residence dates from the 16th century and has a sculpted facade, high painted ceilings and mosaic stone floors.

Passing through the entrance, one is surprised by the colours and scents of a small Mediterranean garden found in the a peaceful courtyard, where time seems to have stopped.

One discovers a hibiscus, and the rock wall serves as a trellis for stunning bougainvillea, climbing jasmine, India fig trees and caper plants.

The external and internal floors are decorated with koklaki- tiny mosaic designs hand-laid according to an ancient technique still followed in Lindos.
On this grand koklaki "carpet," one finds all the symbols dating from the period of the Knights of Rhodes: doves, fish, the sun and flowers.

The kitchen, originally comprised of a simple outdoor stove, was later connected to the house and given walls. Nearby, is a small vaulted, cubic structure, the remains of a captain's tower destroyed by the earthquake of 1926. These towers originally served as accommodation for captains and provided the perfect point from which to survey their ships anchored in the bay.

The main living room, with its 6-metre high ceiling, is the crowning feature of this residence. It holds different levels connected to the main level by little staircases, some outfitted with traditional wooden platforms, others serving to hold closets, storage boxes and local craft pieces- a showpiece of local craftsmanship which refuses to enter into the next century...
